Stanley W. Karcheski, 102, of Brookfield, died peacefully July 10, at his home. He was the husband of the late Helen Washenko Karcheski, to whom he was married for 73 years until her death in 2008.

His son, Donald Karcheski of Brookfield; his daughter, Elaine Tomanio and her husband, Roger, of Brookfield; his grandchildren, Karen Dreger and her husband, Steven, of Sandy Hook, and Todd Tomanio and his wife, Elyse, of Alexandria, Va.; his three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and wonderful next-door neighbors survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Thursday, August 2, at 11 am, in St Joseph Church, 163 Whisconier Road, Brookfield. Burial will follow in St Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
