The 9th Annual Newtown Road Race 5K and Kid’s Run will take place at Dickinson Park on Saturday, August 30. Nike presents the 5K race and the Newtown Prevention Council is sponsoring this year’s Kids Run to benefit Newtown Youth & Family Services.

This year’s race will feature a new start time of 8 am.

Parts of Route 302 will be closed from approximately 7 to 10 am.

To register for this year’s race, visit newtownroadrace.com or pick up a registration form at NYA Health & Fitness Center, 4 Primrose Street; the Parks and Recreation Department, within Town Hall South at 3 Main Street; or at Newtown Youth & Family Services, 15 Berkshire Road.  The race features individual awards the top female and male runners in each of the eight age brackets.
