Albert E. “Buddy” Minck, Jr, 90, of Bradenton, Fla., and Newtown, and previously of Danbury, died peacefully at his Newtown home, June 24, surrounded by his family. He was born November 24, 1922, in Danbury, son of Lucy (Carmody) and Albert E. Minck, Sr.

His wife, Liljan (Korswold) Minck; their son, Eric Minck, and his wife Sandra, of Southbury; their daughter, Valerie Ingham, and her husband Clifford, of Newtown; three grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Shea of Hamden, survive Mr Minck. His brother, James Minck, predeceased him.

Mr Minck served in the Army and graduated from Western Connecticut State College. He retired in 1982 from Schlumberger in Ridgefield.

The grounds and gardens the Mincks spent most of their lives developing, at their Newtown home, will remain a landmark testament to their dedication to life and the beauty it can bring forth.
