Allen Gary "Blitz" Palmer, 54, of West Redding, died July 17. He was born December 8, 1963, and was the son of Ruthann and Michael Palmer. His loved ones say he fully immersed himself in "the dash" - the time between birth and passing.

Mr Palmer moved to Newtown in 1977. He graduated from Newtown High School Class of 1981, University of Connecticut, and Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School. He was active in the Bar Association as well as local and national legal communities.

His life was enriched by lifelong friendships, blood relatives, and family by choice. He was a devoted husband to Stephanie (Chaney), father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, and cousin.

Mr Palmer was a quirky, unique, eclectic soul, who wrote poetry, followed his favorite music groups, ate exotic foods, enjoyed nature, cheered on his favorite sports teams, and attended the Olympics. His heart was always in Newtown, at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and at the Maine coast.
