Andrew LaMarche, son of Martha and Robert LaMarche, was named to the University of Connecticut’s Dean’s List for the fall 2010 semester in the School of Engineering. The university’s School of Engineering the Dean’s List recognizes students who have a grade point average greater than 3.0, and who are in the top 25 percent of engineering students. Andrew was also recently awarded the David Beechar Hahn Engineering Scholarship. A formal presentation of the award was held on February 22 at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts.

Anthony David Fiore was named on the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester from Harpur College of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University, State University of New York. The criteria for the Dean’s List at the university is a minimum grade point average of 3.5.

Christopher Portolese was named to the Dean’s List at the New England Institute of Art, Brookline, MA, for the fall semester.

At Western Connecticut State University Newtown students Lillian Arena, Nicole Bounty, Brett Burroughs, Richard Campanale, Alexander Campbell, Christopher Cardelle, Sean Diebold, William Dornburgh, Chelsea Fowler, Tyler Grant, Sarah Hall, Kristina Hansen, Charles Hill, James Hilton, Richard Klein, Kelly Lindell, Catrina Morgan, Adam Nanavaty, Lauren Pade, Kelly Stendahl, Katelyn Wise, and Dora Wood along with Sandy Hook residents Kristin Boyle, Adam Calderone, Dennis Conti, Melissa Fracker, Matthew Hill, Lindsey Jones, Matthew Jones, Sabrina Krievins, Emily Lockhart, Erin Manion, Blayze Markoya, John Miller, Kurt Nacewicz, Sarah Sabato, Jeffrey Schmidt, and Dana Taylor made the fall semester’s Dean’s List at the university.

Alexandra Vetrano, daughter of Sharon and Gene Vetrano of Sandy Hook, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall quarter of her junior year at Ohio State University, Columbus. Alex is a dance major, with a minor in arts entrepreneurship in the School of Arts and Sciences at Ohio State.

Brittany Pasko, daughter of Ann Liedenmeyer of Newtown and Lawrence Pasko of Danbury, and Kelly A. Tenney, daughter of Patricia and James Tenney of Sandy Hook, were named to the Dean’s List for the fall term at Endicott College, Beverly, Mass. To qualify for Dean’s List at the college, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no grades below a “C,” and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.
