Ann Grich McCorry, 96, of Shelton, formerly of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Thomas McCorry, died peacefully December 5, in Newtown Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, with her loving family by her side. She was born July 26, 1922, in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Charles and Susan Knut Grich.

Her children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Robert Foster of Newtown, Thomas and Gail McCorry of Georgia, and Joseph and MaryJo McCorry of Shelton; six grandchildren, Christine, Tara, Kaitlin, Thiandra, Kelly, and Michelle; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Tesla of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews survive her.

Her beloved husband, Thomas; and nine brothers and sisters predeceased her.

Mrs McCorry enjoyed playing pool and bocce at the Baldwin Center and was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Women’s Guild, the Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post 9460, and the Baldwin Center.

Friends may call Monday, December 10, from 4 to 7 pm, at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.

Funeral services will take place Tuesday, December 11, at 10:30 am, in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev Albert Pinciaro. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
