To the Editor:

We would like to thank all those who made Halloween on and about Main Street another huge success. More than 2,500 trick-or-treaters spooked the streets beginning at 4 pm and ending about 8:30 pm.

Special thank you to the generous and creative homeowners, the Newtown Police, The Newtown Bee coverage, and the groups donating candy, including, but not limited to, the Head O’ Meadow School Community Team, Newtown Parks & Recreation Department, and Caraluzzi’s. Finally, thank you to all the children and parents who made it so fun for the homeowners. The costumes of the children and parents were amazing! Another reason why it’s nicer in Newtown.
