Arlene D. Roebuck

Arlene D. Roebuck, 58, of Newtown, died April 17, after a long illness. She was born in Mount Kisco, N.Y., January 31, 1955. She was the daughter of Marian (Hodgett) Lueders of Danbury and the late Herbert Pitman, and the beloved wife of Don D. Roebuck.

Ms Roebuck grew up in Bedford Hills, N.Y., and was a graduate of Fox Lane High School, Class of 1973. She had been a resident of Newtown since the late 1970s.

In the 1980s, she was the manager of Germantown Seafood in Danbury. From 1990 until her retirement due to illness in 2005, she was the bookkeeper for Don Roebuck Seafood Dealers.

Ms Roebuck loved her cats, Maggie May, Mellow, and Cali.

In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include two sisters, Audrey Pitman of Newtown and Mary Ann Bunt of New Jersey; a brother, Harry Pitman of Myrtle Beach, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place Sunday, April 28, at 3 pm, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Friends may call from 1 to 3 pm, prior to the service.
