The Fourth Annual Glen R. Benny Atkinson Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Monday, June 9 at The Golf Club at Oxford Greens in Oxford.

Last year’s event drew more than 100 golfers and many more Newtown community members joined in the post tournament dinner, raffle, and silent auction.

The event generated enough support for four more scholarships (bringing the total scholarship money given to $20,000) in Benny’s name at the Newtown High School senior awards night. To date the fund has also contributed $6,000 to the Newtown Food Pantry as well as donations to Hair for Hospice, Biometrics, Dylan’s Wing for Change, and The Wounded Worriers Project.

The Atkinson fund is a registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, so all donations are fully deductible.
