Betty (Locascio) Moro, 85, of Sandy Hook, died peacefully, April 29. She was the wife of the late Daniel Moro, whom she married on June 7, 1949.  She was born in Mamaroneck, N.Y., January 29, 1928, the daughter of Lucia (Romeo) and Santo Locascio.

Mrs Moro was a resident of Sandy Hook for more than ten years, and previously lived in Mamaroneck and Harrison, N.Y.

She loved flowers, knickknacks, and her faithful cat, Benny. Most of all she loved her family and friends.

Her sons and their wives, Daniel and Karen Moro of Harrison, N.Y., and Gary and Deolinda Moro of Brookfield; her grandchildren, Andrea, Victor, Gregory, and Jeffrey; her loving sister and best friend, Helen (Locascio) Rizzaro; and many caring nieces and nephews, neighbors, and friends survive Mrs Moro. A brother, James Locascio, predeceased her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 2, at 11 am, in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery. Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Wednesday, May 1, from 5 to 8 pm.
