Bluefish Made Proposal A Hit

To the Editor:

I am writing to remind everyone about the Bridgeport Bluefish baseball team. They are a great organization located right here in Connecticut, only about 25 minutes from all of us here in Newtown. In my daily life I always try to use home town/family run businesses, I feel it’s best for our community and you usually get better service.

Last Thursday evening we took our family to one of the Bridgeport Bluefish Baseball games for a family outing; to my surprise it was also the night my boyfriend chose to propose to me.

This is the second marriage for both of us and we are both fortunate to have children (five kids in all) from our previous marriages. He wanted to do something special and he wanted the kids to be apart of it in someway.

From the Bluefish general manager right down to the venders, the entire staff did everything they could to make the evening special for all of us. They worked with him, as to set a plan to get us up in front of the crowd, used the big screen for the proposal, he got down on one knee, they gave me roses and then escorted us to a skybox suite to go celebrate in, since not only were our kids were there but also our entire family including our parents, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews. They even supplied us with champagne.

The Bridgeport Bluefish organization did so much to make this such a memorable event for our family and I could never thank them enough, so please support our local baseball team. If you go on their website you can see what they have to offer and it is something we can all afford to do.

Sincerely,

Nancy Kokoski
