Boy Scout Collects Donations For Homeless Shelter

With a tent and table stationed in front of the C.H. Booth Library, Newtown Troop 770 Boy Scout Baxter Page and volunteers were ready to receive donations for the Saint Vincent De Paul Mission on Saturday and Sunday, November 10 and 11.

The collection for the Waterbury homeless shelter took place from noon to 4 pm on both days and was for Baxter’s Eagle Scout Project.

Cars parked of the side of the Main Street to deliver their bags of donations, which included requested items like towels and travel size goods.
