Brian Gibbons passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 26, in his home, at the age of 36.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Bonnie of Newtown; brothers, Bob and his wife, Terri, and Tom and his wife, Chrissy, of Newtown; sisters, Karen and her husband, Claudio, of Cincinnati, Colleen and Rob of Maryland, and Kimberly and Christopher of Windsor; and several nieces and nephews.

Brian was a graduate of Henry Abbot Technical School, enjoyed being outside, and loved the New York Giants.

Calling hours will be private.

Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Joseph Church, 163 Whisconier Road (Route 25 and Route 133) in Brookfield, will take place Thursday at 11 am. Interment will follow at Saint Rose Cemetery, 20 Cherry Street, Sandy Hook.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, FAITH Food Pantry of Newtown, or Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
