To the Editor:

On behalf of our Parish Community of Saint Rose of Lima, I extend our thanks for your support of our annual carnival. In spite of a couple of cancellations due to weather, we had a great success the nights we were able to open. It was most obvious from both the laughter and the screams from the rides and the games that everyone enjoyed themselves. Our young people were most well-behaved, which made for a safe and happy carnival. It is always good to have an opportunity to bring our community and our neighboring communities together for an event that is family- and fun-oriented.

Special thanks to our many volunteers, the staff of Steward Amusements, the Newtown Hook and Ladder and Police Department for their presence and assistance. We are also most grateful to the many businesses, professionals, restaurants, and organizations who supported us with their donations and sponsorship.
