Christopher Charles Pack, 65, of Sandy Hook, died August 28, at the Danbury Health Care Center. Born July 16, 1948, in New York City, he was the son of Dr George T. Pack and Helen (Weigelt) Pack. 

He graduated from the Valley Forge Military Academy and Junior College in Wayne, Penn., with honors. He attended the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa and received his bachelor of science degree in commerce and business administration. He worked in real estate and mortgage financing.

Mr Pack liked reading about history, politics, and people. He enjoyed music, both modern and classical.  He also enjoyed watching the European Grand Prix Auto Races, professional tennis, and the New York Yankees. Most of all, he enjoyed watching The Crimson Tide, the University of Alabama’s team, win their games. Mr Pack liked playing and giving tennis lessons when asked, as well as hiking, cross-country skiing, the theater, and fine dining. He was happy to cheer for his nephew Ryan at his ball games. He especially enjoyed passing time and holidays with his family, whom he loved with all his heart.

His mother, Helen I. Pack of Sandy Hook; his sisters Tacy Pack of Brookfield and Helen Shipman, and her husband Robert, of Old Greenwich; his sister-in-law Anne Marie Pack; several nieces and nephews; and six cousins survive Mr Pack. He was predeceased by his father.

Calling hours are Tuesday, September 3, from 6 to 8 pm, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, September 4, at 1 pm, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 85 Mt Pleasant Road (Route 25), Newtown. A private interment service is planned at the Brookside Cemetery in Englewood, N.J.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Danbury Health Care Center, 107 Osborne Street, Danbury CT 06810, in appreciation of their care and support.
