Session For TPU

The Division of Accelerated Degree Programs at Teikyo Post University invites prospective students to an Open House/Information session at the Danbury Public Library, 170 Main Street, Danbury. The session is scheduled for Thursday, August 8, from 5:00 to 7:30 pm and is informal, so people can feel free to stop by any time during the posted hours. It is recommended, but not required, to call 800-582-8250 to set up an appointment during the open house.

Teikyo Post’s Accelerated Program allows students to earn associate’s or bachelor’s degrees in half the time. The academic year is divided into five eight-week terms and classes meet twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Abbott Technical Vocational School from 5:30 to 7:50 pm and/or 8 to 10:20 pm. Students can earn up to 30 credits in one year by taking two courses each term. There is a sixth term in July on the main campus in Waterbury and online, giving students the ability to earn up to 36 credits in one year.

Students in the Danbury program can complete associate’s or bachelor’s degrees in business management entirely at the site. All scheduled courses are guaranteed to run. Courses are offered to fulfill some of the requirements for Accounting, Integrated Business, Marketing, MIS, Finance, Human Services, Legal Assistant, Psychology and General Studies majors; however, students take the remaining courses for these programs on the main campus in Waterbury. Two new credit-bearing certificates in Human Resources and Finance will be available at the main campus as of this fall.

For more information on the accelerated degree program at the Danbury site, visit the website at www.teikyopost.edu or contact Associate Dean Eileen Sheridan at either 800-582-8250 or 203-596-4678 or email at esheridan@teikyopost.edu. The next term begins the week of August 26.
