Danbury, New Milford Hospitals Merger Benefits To Be Outlined

REDDING — On Tuesday, June 28, at 5:30 pm, at Meadow Ridge in Redding, Michael Daglio, senior vice president of operations at Danbury Hospital, and Deborah Weymouth, senior vice president of operations at New Milford Hospital, will hold a public forum on the affiliation of Danbury and New Milford Hospitals.

Mr Daglio and Ms Weymouth will provide detailed information on what Western Connecticut Health Network means, how it benefits the various communities served, and what can be expected going forward.

The affiliation agreement between both hospitals was signed into effect on October 1, 2010, culminating more than a year of intense, committed planning and discussion between administration and board members from both institutions.

Mr Daglio, who holds a master of health administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., has held executive level positions at Danbury Hospital since 2004. He has had instrumental roles in developing service line models and in the major expansion projects the hospital has and presently is undergoing.

Ms Weymouth, who holds a master in business administration in international management/finance from Thunderbird Global Management School in Phoenix, Ariz., is a Fellow of the American college of Healthcare Executives. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of New Milford Hospital.

This program is free and open to the public. Participants are invited to attend a complimentary wine and cheese reception beginning at 4:30 pm.

Registration is required by calling 866-374-0007. For more information on the affiliation agreement visit www.danburyhospital.org.
