Eleanor Alice (Gould) Pilloise, 93, of Seymour, the beloved wife of the late Edson B. Pilloise, Sr, died peacefully October 30, surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was born in Deerfield, Mass., on July 6, 1924, daughter of the late John and Alice Robbins Gould.

Her loving family includes her two sons, Edson B. Pilloise, Jr, and his wife Barbara, of Newtown and David M. Pilloise of Seymour; her cherished grandchildren, Gregory Pilloise and Shayne Pilloise; her sister-in-law, Ann Gould of Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews, who survive her.

Her brothers, John, George, Dean, and her twin brother, Elmer Gould, predeceased her.

Mrs Pilloise was a retired employee of the Uniroyal Corp Footwear Division of Naugatuck. She was the senior and faithful member of the River Valley Baptist Church of Ansonia. She was a lifelong resident of Seymour and was an avid homemaker who loved to cook and travel, especially to Bridgeton, Maine. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and will remain forever in their hearts.

Friends and relatives may call at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Route 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour, on Thursday, November 2, from 9 until 11 am.

A Funeral Service in celebration of Mrs Pilloise's life will follow at 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home with the Reverend David J. Barker, pastor of the River Valley Baptist Church of Ansonia, officiating. Interment in the family plot at Pines Bridge Cemetery in Beacon Falls will follow.
