Elenore House, 87, of Newtown, died December 21, at her home. She was born in Norwalk, November 8, 1931, and was a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Wold and wife of the late Edward House.

Mrs House spent her early childhood in Germany and Norway, returning to the States at age 7. She grew up in Weston/Westport area and graduated from Staples High School in 1950. She spent her married life in Newtown as a homemaker who loved to cook, garden, and go to tag sales every weekend.

Her son, David House and his wife, Leslie, of Middlebury; daughter, Pamela House of Sandy Hook; cherished grandchildren, Christopher House and Rebecca House; sister, Margaret Art of Holmes Beach, Fla.; as well as her nieces and nephews survive her.

Her grandson, Patrick House, and brother, William Wold, predeceased her.

Calling hours will be Saturday, December 29, from 3 to 5 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will be private at a later date.
