Eric Oscar Person, 95, a longtime resident of Fairfield, died December 22 in Beacon Falls, Conn. He was born in Bridgeport to Anna and Oscar Person, and was raised in Newtown on the family farm, located on Currituck Road. He was the beloved husband of the late E. Yelva Strandholt Person.

He was a graduate of Hawley High School.

His three children and spouses, Eric and Betty Person of Connecticut, Gail and Marvin Hill of New Hampshire, and Holly and Jack Olszewski of North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Judy Person and Lucille Person; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren survive Mr Person. His siblings Roland, Raymond, and Muriel predeceased him.

 A celebration of his life took place December 28. Burial will be in Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
