AVV 6-26 #744208

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The FBI says a Nineteenth Century painting worth tens of thousands of dollars is missing from the Philadelphia Park Systems office.

Employees of the park office noticed on June 23 that the John Woodside painting “Fairmount Water Works’’ was missing. It is believed to have been made around 1842. The FBI says preliminary estimates put the painting’s value at up to $75,000.

The FBI said that it is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the painting’s recovery.
