Family Fun Programs
WOODBURY â Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust will offer a free event called âPuppets, Pets, and Playâ on Saturday, April 8, from 11 am to 2 pm It will be part of a Woodbury community celebration called âThe Heart of the Young Child,â a week of programs to benefit the Chapman House in Waterbury.
The Flanders program will feature âMusic and Me,â arts and crafts, a âstuffed puppetâ parade and other activities, and is open to children of any age and adults. No registration is needed.
Donations may be made at the event to support the work of Chapman House, an emergency sanctuary for children who may have been neglected or abused.
Flanders will also host a family-oriented program titled âHopping Down the Bunny Trailâ on Sunday, April 9, from 1 to 3 pm. Children age 3 to 10 are invited to participate in an egg hunt, follow tracks on trails to discover rabbits and their habitats, visit baby bunnies in the barn, listen to a story, and make a craft.
The program fee is $10 per child for Flanders members and $12 for nonmembers. Parents or grandparents are invited to accompany their child at no charge.Â

Flanders Nature Center and Land Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational programs and to conducting land preservation and stewardship efforts. The 200-acre main campus includes a working farm with barn animals, ponds, streams, woodlands, and gardens.
