Fundraiser For Hurricane Pet Relief Thursday At ETH

A fundraising and item collection movie event to assist animals and their owners affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma will be conducted at Edmond Town Hall Theatre and gym, 45 Main Street, Thursday, September 21, from 9 am until noon. It will include music, dancing with DJ Sean "Big Daddy" McKee, dog and cat toy crafting, food for purchase, and the showing of Hotel For Dogs.northpadrewatch.comShiloh. by Phyllis Naylor, as well as gift certificates, movie passes, and other fun things. Each ticket purchased at the door will include one raffle ticket; tickets purchased online will earn two raffle tickets, and a raffle ticket will be given for every new item received for the donation collection. Petfinder and North Padre Watch, a Texas-based organization that provides direct one-on-one help to people and pets, will be the beneficiaries of the event.

). This will assist in NPW's efforts for disaster relief for the pets of Houston and surrounding areas after Hurricane Harvey. Petfinder is also working with Florida in its relief efforts.Admission is $10 per person and attendees are also asked to donate at least one new needed item, including mosquito repellent, sunscreen, combs, and shampoo and conditioner. The proceeds will go to the national Petfinder Foundation and the items collected will go to North Padre Watch (

C.H. Booth Library is a partner in this event and will be helping the kids with crafting dog toys and offer a table displaying books about animals.
