To Meet

DANBURY — The Danbury chapter of The Compassionate Friends (TCF), a grief support group for families who have experienced the death of a child, will meet Tuesday, July 18, at 7 pm at the Danbury United Methodist Church on Clapboard Ridge Road (Route 39 , Exit 5 off I-84).

“Vacationing Without Your Child” is the topic for the July meeting. Participants should bring a colorful latex balloon for release during the meeting in memory of the children.

The group meets the third Tuesday of every month. The Danbury TCF is part of the national support group for parents, grandparents and adult siblings who have experienced the death of a child. For more information about the group and its meetings, call 203/797-8996 or 203/743-5613.

The group’s next meeting will be Tuesday, August 15. The activity for the August meeting will be a potluck picnic and an open discussion.
