Gymnasts Fourth In Pomperaug Invitational

Newtown High School's gymnastics team began the regular season with a strong showing in the Pomperaug Invitational, in Southbury on January 5. Newtown, with a team score of 126.750, placed fourth. Fairfield Ludlowe, coached by NHS Principal Dr Kimberly Longobucco, was first with 133.7.

Standouts for the Nighthawks were Hannah Jojo, who was fifth on bars and ninth in the all around, Ally Kenny (seventh on bars and tenth in the all around), and team newcomer Brynn Reilly (seventh on vault).
