UPDATE (Monday, June 30, 1:45 pm): This notice has been updated to reflect that Booth Library will remain closed all weekend, due to planned computer maintenance. Library Director Brenda McKinley expects the library to instead reopen on Monday, July 7.

Tuesday, July 1: This notice has also been updated to reflect the weekend hours for the transfer station.

All town offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day. It is also a holiday for the USPS, so there is no regular mail delivery/ pickup or retail services.

The transfer station on Ethan Allen Road will be closed on Friday, but will reopen for regular hours on Saturday, July 5 (7 am-3 pm).

Newtown Senior Center and C.H. Booth Library also will be closed on Friday. The library will remain closed on Saturday, July 5, and will reopen on Monday, July 7 (the library is regularly closed on Sundays during the summer).

The Bee offices will also be closed on Friday. We will reopen on Monday, July 7.
