Jewish Federation Begins

2005 Campaign

Ridgefield — With a theme of “Live generously …it does a world of good,” the Jewish Federation, serving Northern Fairfield, Southern Litchfield, and Putnam counties, begins its 2005 fundraising campaign on March 20 with a treat for all five senses and one new one, the Jewish spirit of tzedakah, charity, and tikkun olam, helping others.

The special program, featuring gourmet hors d’oeuvres and desserts, fine wine and visual delights, takes place at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, 258 Main Street, from 6 to 9 pm.

Guests will not only view the museum’s colorful collection, they will be entertained by Susan Jackson of the Toronto Jewish Federation as she regales everyone with a humorous look at the meaning of tzedakah. A silent auction and Chinese raffle are also on tap.

The evening’s honorary hosts are Karen and Barry Goldberg, Lisi and Neil Marcus, Dina and Sam Markind, Dana and Doug Ramos, Myra and Sam Ross, Suzie and Brian Scanlon, Allison and Jon Stockel, Michelle and Steve Tenenbaum, Pearl and Amos Turk, Lorraine and Marty Vigdor, and Ruth and Dan Wolinsky

Cover for this event is $40 per person, $75 per person to have one’s name listed in the program. Call the federation office, 792-6353, for tickets or more information.
