John Francis Feeley

John Francis Feeley, 79, of Largo, Fla., will be laid to rest July 9 at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Fla.  Mr Feeley died at Largo Medical Center on March 20.  He was a resident of Newtown from the 1970s through the 1990s.

He was born March 31, 1933, in Waterbury, and graduated from Yale University’s School of Engineering in 1955. He married his college sweetheart, Carol, in 1957 and they raised three children in Danbury, and then Newtown.

Mr Feeley had a long, successful career in engineering and management with Risdon Manufacturing Co., which was later purchased by Crown Cork & Seal. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Wilmington, N.C., and later to Florida. 

His wife; daughters Gail Feeley of Largo and Karen Booher, and her husband Tom, of Lakewood, Colo.; his son John Feeley, Jr, of Cumberland, R.I.; two grandchildren; and three nieces and their families survive Mr Feeley.
