Newtown High School senior Lauren Russo was named to the All New England Team with her fourth-place finish out of 34 competitors in the pole vault competition, clearing the bar at 11-foot-3 at the 72nd New England Track and Field Championships at Norwell, Mass., on June 10. Russo has committed to the Division I track and field program at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Penn., this fall.
