The ministers of Newtown Congregational Church invite all to join them and NCC members for a Lenten series of programs that will explore the theme of Abiding In Hope — From Death To New Life.

Dinner and conversation events will begin Thursday, March 14, and continue weekly through April 18. Each will begin at 6 pm with a simple soup and salad potluck gathering at the church, 14 West Street. Conversations will follow at 7.

On March 14, dinner will be followed by “Interfaith Conversation: What Does Forgiveness Look Like?” That gathering will be in the church’s Great Room; the next four will be in the classrooms on the building’s lower level.

On Thursdays, March 21-April 11, dinner will be followed with themed pastor’s messages.

Pam Sunday will be celebrated during the Sunday, April 14, 10 am worship service.

The evening series will then conclude on April 18, when NCC hosts a Maundy Thursday service. Dinner in The Great Room will be followed by worship with Tenebrae in the Sanctuary.

Good Friday on April 19 will be honored from 9 am until 5 pm. The church sanctuary will be open during those hours for reflection and meditation time. Printed guides will be available.

Easter Sunday will be celebrated on April 21 with two services. A Sunrise Service will begin at 6 am on the property at the top of Castle Hill Road at Old Castle Drive. Light breakfast will follow at the church.

A 10 am service with brass will also be celebrated in the NCC sanctuary that morning.

All are welcome at any or all of these offerings. Call 203-426-9024 for additional information.
