A call to unity and the life of Baha'u'llah on the 200th anniversary of His birth are the backdrop to invite the community to the Light of Unity Festival, Saturday, October 21, from 5 to 8 pm, in the Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

First Selectman Patricia Llodra will offer words on the power of unity in Newtown, followed by a brief program and dinner.

This festival, sponsored by the Baha'is of Newtown and Fairfield County, will also be a launch for a "Year in the Light of Unity," an exploration of best practices in instilling the values and skills needed to develop a stronger bond between people of diverse backgrounds.

The event is free. Reservations are requested at 203-312-0045 or msdutton@sbcglobal.net.
