True Crime Book Author To Speak At Congregation Adath Israel

Deborah Levison, an award-winning journalist, author and daughter of Holocaust survivors, is scheduled to speak at Congregation Adath Israel on Sunday, April 28, at 2 pm. The Trumbull resident will speak about her true crime book "The Crate: A Story of War, A Murder, and Justice."

Methodist Church Pasta Dinner & Coffee House, April 6

The 29th season of Saturday Pasta Dinners at Newtown United Methodist Church will continue next weekend. Dinner will be served Saturday, April 6, in the church’s fellowship hall, 92 Church Hill Road. A live performance of bluegrass, country, and folk music will follow.

Workcampers Participate In Annual Sleepathon Ahead Of Summer Service Trip

Young adults representing a number of Newtown’s houses of worship will be traveling in June to Guyan Valley, West Virginia, where they will spend a week with Appalachia Service Project. Ahead of that, however, 40 Newtown Ecumenical Workcamp Servants spent a very cold night outdoors, raising awareness among themselves and funds for their week-long service trip in June.
