BRIDGEWATER - The Town of Bridgewater recently completed its repair and renovation of the popular town pavilion at 132 Hut Hill Road. After years of use for parties, picnics, and social functions, the pavilion was showing its age.

On Saturday, July 29, the band Not Too Late will help the town christen the new pavilion floor with a dance and party, playing classic rock music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Bridgewater Congregational Church is presenting the evening.

Not Too Late band members include Joseph Charles, Chuck DelRossi, Larry Schneider, Jimmy Stack, and Dennis MacDonald. Mr DelRossi is a Newtown resident. Mr McDonald, who lives in Bridgewater, grew up in Newtown. Other band members are from Harwinton, New Milford, and Woodbury.

Not Too Late entertains its audiences at various music venues and clubs in the local area and has a large following. Song selections take audiences back to the years of peace, love, and understanding.

"It will be the coolest hot summer night!" said Bridgewater resident Kim Gellatly. All music lovers and fans of the band are welcome to come.

The pavilion venue will include a table and chair seating area for conversations with friends, and a dance floor up front near the band.

Blankets and chairs are welcome for an evening under the stars. The event is BYOB; snacks and munchies will be available for purchase.

The event starts at 7 pm.

Tickets are $15 or two for $25. All proceeds are to benefit the Bridgewater Congregational Church and its community benevolence programs.

Tickets can be purchased at the church office, 10 Clapboard Road (just off Route 133), or by calling 860-354-8283. Tickets will also be available at the pavilion on the night of the event.
