Police spokesman Lieutenant Aaron Bahamonde said that about 10:10 pm on Monday, November 12, police were called to a residence on Bonnie Brae Drive to investigate a report of a family member having attacked another family member and then fleeing the premises.

The lieutenant said that police then received another report from a Brushy Hill Road homeowner that there was a naked man on their back deck.

Police identified the man they were searching for as Kevin McCarthy, 26, of Bonnie Brae Drive, whom they located near the Brushy Hill Road house.

Police arrested McCarthy on charges of disorderly conduct, third-degree strangulation, and third-degree assault on an elderly person. The victim refused medical attention, police said.

Police said they held McCarthy $10,000 bail for an arraignment on the charges on Tuesday, November 13, in Connecticut Superior Court in Danbury.
