To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the voters of District 1 for electing me to the Legislative Council. As a new member I will do my absolute best to make your voices heard. I appreciate your confidence in me, and I will give 100 percent while serving with the other council members.

In addition, I would like to thank US Representative Elizabeth Esty, State Senator Tony Hwang, Bill Brimmer, the Reverend Matt Crebbin, and the Newtown Police Department for installation of elected officials, master of ceremonies, words of encouragement, and to the color guard [at the November 19 swearing in ceremony].

Finally, congratulations to First Selectman Dan Rosenthal, Selectmen Maureen Crick Owen and Jeff Capeci, and all of our town's elected officials.
