Marilyn A. Adams, 80, of Fairfield, the loving wife of the late Philip C. Adams, Jr, died peacefully April 11, in Milford. Born in Callicoon, N.Y., daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Buddenhagen, she worked in the Tax Collector, Accounting, and Tax Assessor offices for the Town of Fairfield prior to her retirement.

Her loving family including her sister, Jeanne Meyers of Newtown; her two children and their spouses, David and Janice Adams and Donna and Dennis Gallo, both of Fairfield; her cherished grandchildren, Brian Adams, Heather Adams, Dr Katherine "Katy" Gallo and her husband Doug Howie, and Dennis Gallo; and her adorable great-grandchild survive her.

Her two brothers, Edwin and Robert Buddenhagen; and her sister, Diane Buddenhagen, predeceased her.

Mrs Adams loved animals especially her golden retrievers, which gave her great enjoyment. She also loved gardening and was a member of several local garden clubs. She also volunteered at the Fairfield University Regina Quick Center.

Friends are invited to greet her family Sunday, April 15, from 2 to 4 pm, at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield. Burial will be private.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, 110 Chapin Road, Hudson MA 01749.
