Movie Presentation About

Genetically Engineered Foods

SOUTHBURY — A special presentation of Genetic Roulette — The Movie, about the serious threats genetically engineered foods pose to health will take place on Wednesday, December 5, at 1:30 pm in the Kingsley Room at the Southbury Public Library. A short discussion of the film will follow led, by local naturopathic physicians Alice Bell, ND, MS, and Carolyn Graham, ND, RN.

The film is based on a book by Jeffrey M. Smith, author of the world’s bestselling book on genetically modified organisms (GMOs), Seeds of Deception. He is a leading consumer advocate promoting healthier non-GMO choices.

This film includes never before seen evidence pointing to genetically engineered foods as a major contributor to rising disease rates in the US population. Gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, inflammatory diseases, and infertility are just some of the problems implicated in humans, pets, livestock and lab animals that eat genetically modified soybeans and corn.

According to the website (http://geneticroulette.com), this seminal documentary provides compelling evidence to help explain the deteriorating health of Americans, especially among children, and offers a recipe for protecting ourselves and our future. The film is narrated by Lisa Oz and is 85 minutes long.

No registration is needed for this event. Call the Southbury Public Library reference desk at 203-262-0626 extension 130 with any questions
