MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, BOSTON OFFERS PICASSO LECTURE NOV. 14

AVV 10-8 #715016

BOSTON, MASS. — The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will present the Robert J. Boardingham Memorial Lecture, “New Light on Picasso: Wife vs Mistress,” Wednesday, November 14, at 6:30 pm.

The lecture features John Richardson, author of A Life of Picasso, The Triumphant Years, 1917–1932, and George Shackelford, chair of art of Europe and the Arthur K. Solomon Curator of Modern Art.

“My work is my diary,” said Picasso. Join the conversation as Picasso biographer Richardson and curator Shackelford discuss Picasso at the height of his powers, from the late teens to the 1930s, amid his ladies, patrons and artist friends.

The third volume of Richardson’s definitive biography draws on his close friendship with Picasso and unprecedented access to the artist’s studio and unpublished papers and photographs. Book signing to follow.

Admission is $15 members, $18 nonmembers. The museum is at 465 Huntington Avenue. For information, www.mfa.org or 617-267-9300.
