Newtown Board of Realtors Seek Donations For Animal Shelter

Members of the Newtown Board of Realtors and their family were present at Your Healthy Pet, 61 Church Hill Road, with owners Tom and Mary-Kay Novak to kick start the Newtown Animal Shelter Donation Drive on May 14.

The shelter is currently in need of dry kibble, wet canned food, IAMS Proactive Health Senior, Milk-Bone Dog Treats, pig’s ears, grain-free treats, large rubber Kong toys, choke chain collars, and 6-foot sturdy leashes for dogs; Rachael Ray brand dry food, Friskies or Dave’s brand wet canned food, ID food for seniors/special needs, Beyond natural grain-free cat food, unscented/non-clumping litter, Friskies treats, and toys for cats; as well as laundry detergent, paper towels, contractor bags, Dawn dish soap, white vinegar, 30-gallon trash bags, and used fleece throws, towels, and rags.

In addition to Your Healthy Pet, donations are being accepted in Newtown at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, 84 South Main Street; Big Y World Class Market, 6 Queen Street; Caraluzzi’s Market, 5 Queen Street; Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, 32 Church Hill Road; RE/MAX Right Choice Real Estate, 43 South Main Street; and William Raveis Real Estate, 14 Church Hill Road.

Items can also be brought to Danbury at William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, 112 Federal Road.

Donations will be accepted through Friday, May 24, by 5 pm, at all locations.

The Newtown Board of Realtors will be visiting the Newtown Animal Shelter, also known as the Brian J. Silverlieb Animal Care and Control Center, for Donation Day on Saturday, May 25, to drop off all the pet supplies.
