The class will cover the key features of QuickBooks, a highly popular business finance software. Topics that will be covered include income and expense tracking, checkbook management, credit cards, cash accounts, accounts receivable and accounts payable, customer lists, vendor lists, invoicing, and business reports.Mommy And Me Essential Oils - A one-time class on May 11, 6 pm to 7:30 pm, $25. A hands-on oils class for parents and their children. Attendees will learn the basics of essential oils, while the parents and their children make modeling dough and crafts using the oils. The class fee includes one adult and one child. There will be a $5 fee for each additional child. No discounts apply.Introduction To Numerology - A one-time class on May 11, 6 pm to 7:15 pm, $49. According to a course description, numerology is an ancient metaphysical science that reveals the blueprint of every human being's life and is an accurate and powerful self-help tool. Topics will include how to calculate seven personality numbers, four pinnacles and challenges, and karmic lessons and debts for themselves, family, and friends.Easy Mending And Alteration Techniques - A two-class course starting May 11, 6 pm to 8 pm, $59. Coursegoers will learn the right way to sew on buttons; how to replace a pocket lining; lengthen or shorten skirts, dresses and pants; and simple methods to patch holes in socks and sweaters. Students should bring one or two items from their "mending basket." The instructor will provide general sewing supplies (thread, pins, scrap fabric) for practice. Among the places the course will discuss are the haunted legends of Fort Griswold, the story of Benedict Arnold's mother's gravesite and a tale of the "Green Lady," the Nathan Hale Homestead and the tales of the untimely death of a french paymaster during the Revolutionary War.What Are You Eating? - A one-time class, May 16, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, $29. What we eat impacts our health. The course will go over learn what people should look for when shopping in the grocery store, the differences between grass-fed and grain-fed beef, when to buy organic, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, and their impact on health as well as the benefits of fish oil and fats that are heart healthy.Locust Grove Estate - A day trip on May 21, departs from NHS at 9:30 am, $107.
