Take Better Pictures By Understanding Composition — A one-class course on March 31 for a fee of $39. Learn the basics of composition to add the “wow” factor to photos. Students are asked to bring their own camera, manual, and five to ten pictures on a flash drive.

Ballroom Dancing — A four-class course being offered in two sessions, each for $99 for a couple. One session starts on April 2 and one session starts on May 7. Learn the fox trot, waltz, cha-cha, and more. Instructors Joe Williams and Noni Low have been dancing together for 21 years and teaching ballroom dance for beginners to advanced for 15 years. Their basic concept of ballroom dancing consists of having fun with easy to learn instructions. Couples and singles welcome.

Navigating The College Admissions Journey — A two-class course starting on April 2 for a fee of $49. No matter where the students wants to go to college, this two-night course will teach them strategies to help improve the chances of admission, saving money, and avoiding the most common mistakes. The first class will focus on the college search, essays, activities, and interviews. The second class will focus on college costs, financial aid, scholarships, and how to graduate without excessive debt. Parents and students are encouraged to attend the course together. The instructor is a former admission counselor with 15 years of experience with working with college-bound high school students.

Investing 101 — A one class course on April 22, $29. The class explores some of the basic tools that can help take control of a financial future. Students will learn the characteristics of different investment products, like how to create an investment plan, the importance of risk management acceding to personal risk tolerance, as well as concepts such as asset allocation and portfolio rebalancing. The class will also take a look at some of the common behaviors and biases that can get in the way of managing priorities and setting and achieving realistic goals.

What Are You Eating? — A one class course on April 1, $29. The class will explore how eating impacts health. Topics will include foods that are healthy and less healthy, like foods that contribute to weight gain. Learn what to look for when shopping in the grocery store. Topics will include fish oil and fats that are heart healthy, which carbohydrates to avoid when losing weight, and why eating protein is so important.

Why Am I Gaining Weight? — A one class course on April 8, $29. Whether students have been gaining weight, looking to lose a few pounds, or to maintain their weight, this class will teach what to do. Topics will include why skipping breakfast causes weight gain, which foods contribute to weight gain, why eating protein at every meal is important, how being overweight contributes to health risks, and the difference between a healthy and unhealthy weight loss program. Students will learn lifestyle modifications to help you lose weight.

Reiki I, II, III — A three-class course being offered on April 6, April 7, and April 8, for a fee of $89. Reiki I will be the focus of April 6, Reiki II will be the focus of April 7, and Reiki III on April 8. Reiki I instructs the student on Reiki and meditation. Reiki II connects the student to the greater energy of Reiki. During the Reiki II course, the students are given three sacred symbols, each having a specific function. These symbols can then be used as a focus to enable the student to strengthen mental and emotional healing and to send absentee healing. Reiki III is advanced Reiki treatment where the practitioner learns to use Reiki to the fullest. Reiki III ensures the practitioner has knowledge of the human anatomy and the practitioner will learn to use a Reiki grid. Upon successful completion of the three-night course, attunements and a certificate will be provided.

Totally Toned — A six-class course starting on April 2 for a fee of $59. Each class will include a warm-up, toning exercises utilizing handheld weights or the body’s own resistance and stretching. This course will help the student tone up and increase metabolism by increasing muscle cells. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers, bring bottled water, an exercise or yoga mat, and a pair of hand weights to each class (3 pounds for beginners and 5 pounds-plus for advanced).

DIY Spring Essentials Using Essential Oils — A one class course on April 23, $34. Students will create their own beauty treatments and aromatherapy products without the use of harsh chemicals. Participants will be provided with all the ingredients and instruction necessary to make up to three DIY items.

The Basics of QuickBooks For Your Office — A three-class course starting on April 20 for a fee of $89. The course will cover the key features of QuickBooks, a popular business finance software. Topics will include income and expense tracking, checkbook management, credit card usage, liability accounts, customer lists, vendor lists, invoicing, and business reports.

Italian For The Beginner — A five-class course starting on April 27 for a fee of $139. Students will learn Italian from instructor Lucia Dibenedetto, a native of Italy and a teacher with many years of experience teaching Italian to adults and children. This course is for those with little or no previous knowledge of Italian. Students will begin to develop an Italian vocabulary, learn pronunciation, simple phrases, and sentences. Students will be required to pay the instructor $25 at the first class for the text book. This is nonrefundable. No discounts apply.
