Newtown-Sandy Hook Restaurant Week Kicks Off October 9

The second annual Newtown-Sandy Hook Restaurant Week will be conducted Monday, October 9, through Sunday, October 15.connecticutrestaurantweek.com) encouraging patrons to come at an off-peak time of year while also enjoying all that autumn in New England has to offer.

Newtown-Sandy Hook Restaurant week is held to promote the great dining experiences our town has to offer.

Newtown has become a thriving restaurant hot spot with options from fajitas to fish and chips to foie gras that will satisfy any palate. Traditionally known for its historic New England charm, Newtown now has even more appeal to draw people to town with its expanding variety of restaurants, shops, and sweets.

As of October 4, the following restaurants had signed up to participate: Barnwood Grill, Beef & Barleys, Burrito Shack, Cafe Xpresso, Cover Two Sports Cafe, Dere Street, Farmhouse Restaurant, Figs, Franco's Pizza & Pasta, Foundry Kitchen & Tavern, Fusion 25, Lorenzo's Restaurant, Lucas Local, Kolam, McGuire's Ale House, Mexicali Rose, Murphy's Pub, My Place Restaurant, Newtown Pizza Palace, Nouveau Monde Wine Bar + Bistro, Red Rooster Pub, Sal e Pepe, Sweet Mango, Tambascio's Italian Grill, Tazza Cucina Bar, Thai Delight, Toro, The Villa, and Village Perk Cafe.

In addition to the aforementioned, locations that offer baked goods, chocolates and ice cream are also participating in Newtown-Sandy Hook Restaurant Week including Castle Hill Chocolate, DOrazio Sisters Bakery, Ferris Acres Creamery, and Holy Cow Ice Cream Shop.
