Hikers of all ages are invited to enjoy panoramic views of Newtown and surrounding areas during Newtown Forest Association’s Autumn Foliage hike on Saturday, November 2, beginning at noon. Join NFA member Aaron Coopersmith on a stroll through the Holcombe Wildlife Preserve on Great Hill Road. Dogs on a leash are welcome. Good hiking or walking shoes are recommended.

Kite flying enthusiasts and shutterbugs are welcome. Bring a camera to capture natural beauty on this property.

Dr Coopersmith, a Newtown-based chiropractor, will lead the group in a gentle callisthenic stretch routine before the hike.

From the flagpole on Main Street, turn on to West Street, then bear right onto Castle Hill Road. Travel to the second stop sign, and then turn left onto Great Hill Road. Follow to 55 Great Hill Road and park.

Not to be confused with the Holcombe Memorial Trail property with its red barn, those joining the hike on Saturday should continue ¼-mile uphill past this property to the Holcombe Wildlife Preserve.
