Newtown High School students were busy working after school on Wednesday, February 18, to prepare for the upcoming musical production of City of Angels.

City of Angels is a musical about a novelist trying to turn a book into a screenplay, and it shows both the plot of the writer’s attempt to create a screenplay and the plot of the fictional film being creating.

With construction of the play’s stage already underway by February 18, NHS Choral Director Jane Matson was giving directions to assembled cast members before one of the songs in the musical was practiced.

City of Angels is showing at NHS March 19, 20, and 21 at 7 pm, and March 22 at 2 pm. Tickets are $14 for students and senior citizens and $18 for adults.

An online ordering site is being set up at http://nhsc.booktix.com, but is not available yet. Tickets will also be available at the door.
