Noie Louie Richards, 61, of Newtown, died unexpectedly, May 21, at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Danbury, September 6, 1951, a son of Wilma (Presnell) and Noie Richards, and was the husband of Irma (Poquette) Richards.

Mr Richards was a lifelong resident of Newtown and was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1969. He was the owner of R&R Foundations and previously was employed by the Town of Newtown Highway Department.

He enjoyed bowling at the Brookfield Lanes.

In addition to his wife, two sons, Christopher, and his wife Amanda, and Conrad, all of Newtown; a granddaughter, Savannah; a brother, George, of Kissimmee, Fla.; and a sister, Alice, of Kentucky, survive Mr Richards. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert.

A funeral service will take place Saturday, May 25, at 3 pm, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Cremation will be private. Calling hours will be Saturday, from 11 am to 3 pm, prior to the service.
