During this holiday time of giving and helping others, we invite you to partner with Newtown Savings Bank and Danbury Hospital Foundation in support of the Newtown Police Department and all residents of the town we call home.

Newtown Police Chief James Viadero has made us aware of a recent incident in town during which a responding NPD officer arrived on the scene before the arrival of an ambulance. The individual was in need of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), which was not available until the ambulance arrived. The incident made clear the potentially life-saving benefit of having Newtown PD patrol cars equipped with AEDs. Responding to the need, Newtown Savings Bank and Danbury Hospital Foundation have partnered to raise the funds necessary to provide the AEDs, and we ask you to join us in this important initiative.

Our goal is to raise $20,000, and Newtown Savings Bank will match all gifts received from the Newtown business community up to $5,000.
