Occupation: I am co-owner, with my husband, Mike, of Our Green House at 365 South Main Street in Newtown. We sell natural products for the home and baby and have had the business for two years.

Family: My husband, Mike, who owns Willow Environmental, an environmental and mold inspections company, and our daughter, Meaghan, who is 11. We have 2 sons, Michael, who is 9, and Matthew, 7 years old.

Pets: Our golden retriever, Abby, is 4 years old and we have an 8-month-old Bernese Mountain dog, Brady. We have two cats, Phoebe and Willy. We have a bunny, Molly. Then we have five chickens; four guinea hens; and we have gecko lizards, with one on the way. We just found an egg. I think that completes our pets!

How long have you lived in Newtown? We have been here for nine years. We moved here from Hoboken, N.J.

What do you like to do in your free time? Do I have free time? I like to walk the dogs and I like to spend time with my kids. I do like gardening and reading, too, when I can.

Do you have a favorite book? I’ve been into reading the older novels. Right now, I’m reading Jane Eyre. It’s interesting how the same dynamics was going on with people even in a different era. People had the same issues and the same struggles. You would think things would have changed.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? To a lake house. Maybe Lake Winnepesaukee in New Hampshire. I would spend a week at a lake house with my family. As a kid, we used to do that and we had so much fun. Our kids love fishing and swimming. It would be peaceful — no TV, no phones.

If you could have one wish, what would that be? That I will always be as happy as I am right now.

What is the best thing about Newtown? The people. I find people really nice and down to earth. The first week we lived here, a lady offered me a coupon in the grocery store. Everyone’s always willing to help. You can go to the grocery store and not have to feel like you need to put on makeup and get all dressed up, like some other places.

Do you have a personal philosophy? If you can visualize something, you can achieve it. I think I’ve always done that. I see what I want and do it. If you can see it clearly enough in your own mind, you can make it happen.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years? Running a large company — Our Green House — with my husband and spending more time with my grown kids. Hopefully, they’ll still spend time with me!
