Newtown Youth Football and Cheer (NYFC) held its Fourth Annual Beer, Wine, & Spirits Tasting Event at the Dana-Holcombe House on Saturday, June 8.

The evening was held to raise funds toward a goal of $12,000 for uniforms, field upkeep, equipment, scholarships for those in need, and coach safety training.

Brookfield High School students used a new etching machine to support the event by creating etched glasses that some guests used during the tastings. More than 180 glasses were specially etched with the NYFC 50th Anniversary logo.

New England Brewing Co, Back East Brewing Company, Nod Hill Brewery, Woodbury Brewing Company, Reverie Brewing Co, Litchfield Distillery, and Nick’s Chilled & Distilled served local favorites.

More information about NYFC is available at its website newtownyouthfootball.org.
