Regional Hospice Breakfast Fundraiser, June 15 At Waterview

MONROE - Marg Studley and Marie Sturdevant, co-chairs of the Newtown Chapter of Regional Hospice and Home Care, have announced the 27th annual Breakfast Fundraiser at The Waterview, 215 Roosevelt Drive (Route 34) in Monroe.opened The Center of Comfort Care & Healing in Danbury in 2015, the first hospice residence in the state of Connecticut to offer private room service.

, is open to all. It is the organization's largest fundraiser of the year. The breakfast will begin at Wednesday, June 15The annual event, this year on and end by 7:45 am, so that all may attend and still arrive at daily jobs in a timely fashion.9 am

Regional Hospice serves more than 500 patients and families from the area, every year. Extending the care options for hospice patients, Regional Hospice and Home Care

Guests at the annual breakfast are encouraged to sponsor a table for eight. Host tables are still available at the cost of $150 each. Corporate sponsorships are also available at $500 per table.

Guests are encouraged to donate "tips"  to the wait staff (Regional Hospice volunteers and often the table's main sponsor), which become donations to the agency, as does the money raised through table sponsorship and a raffle.

There will be many raffle items donated by local merchants. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased at the entrance to the breakfast room, prior to the start of the breakfast.

Seats for walk-ins are always available. It is also possible to sponsor a table even if the benefactor is not able to attend.

Along with the breakfast feast and a chance to visit with friends and associates, every year the event features a special guest speaker.

Proceeds from the breakfast support the various programs that Regional Hospice and Home Care provide in the community.
