To the Editor:Sen Hwang represents Easton, Fairfield, Newtown, Weston and Westport.

Thank you for choosing me to continue serving as your state senator. I am deeply grateful for the continued opportunity to represent you in Hartford. It is an honor and a privilege that I do not take lightly.

I ran for office because I wanted to make a positive difference in people's lives. I am committed to reflecting the values, beliefs, and aspirations of the people in our region. We may not see eye to eye on every issue, but I assure you that I will work tirelessly on our community's behalf to create a more prosperous future for the state of Connecticut.

Commitment to community is more than a slogan. It is my promise and my guiding principle based on predictability, sustainability, and transparency.

We've accomplished a lot in the last few years but there is more work to be done. It's time for us to come together to find the common ground necessary to ensure that a fiscally accountable government meets the needs of all its citizens, particularly those most at-risk and vulnerable in our community. It's time for us to get serious about our economy, about creating new jobs, and about not spending more than we take in.

The decisions will be tough. But common sense must prevail. We can do this. And we will.

I invite you to stay involved, engaged, and in contact. Visit my website at senatorhwang.com and follow me on social media where you can stay connected to the positive changes we make together. Reach out to me with your concerns. Join me in being the change we desperately need for our state and for our country.

Thank you for placing your trust in me. I am committed to working together every day to make Connecticut a better place for us all.
